Training for Travel rated number 38 in Sunday Times' Top 100 companies
Training For Travel have been awarded the 3 STAR STATUS - the highest accolade available - from the Best Companies Accreditation, in association with the Sunday Times Newspaper. They were one of 55 companies who achieved this, out of a possible 800 that applied.
On February 25th, TfT were also placed at number 38 within the "Top 100 companies to work for in the UK - 2009".
Beverley Platt, Commercial Director of TfT says "We were over the moon to be given the 3 STAR STATUS earlier in the month, which recognised us as a successful business, but to be placed so high on the ladder as one of the best companies to work for is just unbelievable and quite overwhelming. Logging your CPD points
Please remember to keep logging your CPD points. Logging them as you go along means that when it comes round to renewal time you won't have to try and recall all the CPD you have accrued over the past year.
Members should also remember that at ATP we can only accept CPD points if they have occured less than six months before your current ATP subscription started. Qualifications and other CPD activities that occured more than six months before your membership was validated will not be accepted for the current CPD period. You can, however, include them as part of your qualifications history. If you would like to chat about this please call Vicki Wolf on 020 3117 0549.
ATP High Flyers!
Congratulations to Stacey Butler from the Bearsden branch of The Co-operative Travel in Glasgow who currently has the highest number of CPD points with an astonishing 387 points. Well done and keep on going Stacey.
Travel Uni Blog of the month winner.
Kerry Lowe from Williames Travel in Belfast is this month's winner of the Travel Uni "Blog of the Month" competition. Kerry wins a lovely bottle of Champagne compliments of Travel Uni.
Read Kerry's blog below :
"After a fantastic start to the year, February was a funny month, I think with half term alot of people were already booked and away or people were sitting back and waiting to see more news of the doom and gloom. March has started really positive with sales being of a really high value. Maybe not as many heads being booked but certainly the quality and value of the bookings are up.
I managed to start doing some training last month and completed the Jambo Kenya programme, Las Vegas & Namibia Know it all on the Travel Uni website. Just started looking at the Orlando Holiday Challenge & the Kuoni Worldwide Diploma has just started again.
I attended the TIPTO Roadshow in Belfast which was a fun evening with a good turn out of suppliers. Unfortunately never won any of the fantastic prizes that were given away. I will have to leave it at that for now as the phones are ringing here and they won't answer themselves, but thank goodness they are ringing."
If you would like to win a bottle of bubbly tell us about any training you have done or any industy events, FAM trips or seminars that you have attended that have impressed you and you're name will be entered in our monthly draw.
